Any design or editing is very much dependent on the individual project. It is not possible to provide an accurate quote without details. Therefore, the following is a guide only.

Web Design

The following prices are provided as a guide only:

Full web design, from scratch, is time-consuming, labour intensive and requires considerable back and forth with the client. There are also initial setup costs, such as domain registration, domain hosting, platform/plugin costs and design work. Please bear in mind that each webpage is different so the following prices may vary.

  • $2,000 for a single landing page
  • $3,000 to $4,000 for a 5-8 page website
  • $5,000 plus for an e-commerce website, depending on product number

These costs are reduced if:

  • Domain name and hosting provider are already established
  • Design work has been done (eg logo, images, layout)
  • Copyright approved images are provided

Proofreading and Copyediting

The following is a price guide only and can vary depending on the complexity of the project.

Proofreading prices

  • From $15 per 1,000 words

This includes:

  • Grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Consistency, style, formatting and design
  • Layout and readability
  • Accuracy against edited version
  • Cross-checking table of contents, indexes, glossaries and references

Copy editing

  • From $40 per 1,000 words

This includes:

  • Grammar, spelling and punctuation
  • Clarity, legibility and fluency of writing
  • Application of style conventions
  • Consistency of styling and formatting
  • Content improvement and refinement
  • Design specifications and layout

Design

All design prices are a guide only and are dependent on the complexity of the project.

Business Card Design

  • $100 – simple, one-sided card
  • $180 – double-sided, colour, full specifications

If full design workup is required, there are additional costs

Logo design

  • $1,000 to $1,500 – redesign of existing logo and includes full specifications such as index files and in-depth instructions.
  • $1,500 to $2,000 – design of logo and includes full specifications such as index files and in-depth instructions.

Educational Design

This very much depends on the project.

  • A simple PowerPoint presentation with audio would cost a minimum of $50 per slide
  • An interactive presentation would cost a minimum of $200 per slide.
  • A video presentation would be $450 per slide/scene

Costs would depend on whether video/audio needs to be obtained and whether design features are already established.
